ISE Webinar Series – Session 2 – Pitch & Match for SMEs in the UK, France, Belgium, and the Netherlands

Oct 2020
Time: 11:30am

The ISE project is organising a range of webinars for the Food & Drink sector taking place from September, to bring together cluster members to consider some joint working and collaboration activities with businesses from the UK, France, Belgium & the Netherlands which could be developed after the end of the ISE project.

Sign up to this interactive webinar which focuses on how EU withdrawal could affect your business and the possibilities of international collaboration with SMEs in the ISE partner regions to continue to trade successfully. This virtual pitch & match event will provide food and drink companies with the opportunity to pitch their business to one another, with the purpose of connecting and ‘matching’ for future joint working - for example, in relation to the new requirement for UK companies exporting to the EU to have a registered office address there and vice versa.

Final programme:

11:30 / 12:30  Welcome & ISE Overview - Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce, UK

11:40 / 12:40  Introduction to Food Business Operator rule and key considerations for the food & drink sector for trading between UK & EU post-transition – Dr Hellen Arrowsmith – Principal Food Law Adviser & Allergen Specialist, Campden BRI, UK

11:50 / 12:50  SME pitches – key questions:

  • Who are you?
  • What does your business do?
  • What partner are you looking for in another country / what help do you require?

12:00 / 13:00  SME matching – finding partners for a physical address in UK/EU, documentation, product recalls & returns

12:25 / 13:25 Final comments & closing remarks – Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce, UK
